What To Expect
Bophut Beach Koh Samui is the ideal beach for those looking for a more upmarket, family oriented beach. If you’re after perfect white sand and clear blue waters then you’ll probably want to head to Silver Beach or North Chaweng Beach. The sand at Bophut Beach is more course and golden and the water can also be a little cloudy. However this isn’t to say that this beach still isn’t good. It’s more orientated to families and travellers looking to spend most their time in the comfort of luxury pools and resorts.
The beach is full of palm trees, many hotels and resorts so it’s ideal for those looking for a perfect family holiday getaway. This beach is fairly quiet and laid back while still offering plenty of fun water activities such as jet skiing. You wont find many backpackers in this area as there are almost no hostels or cheap guesthouses.
Those who stay in Bophut Beach wont have to go far to find plenty of bars and restaurants. There are many different options located nearby on the main strip. There is also a popular night market called ‘Fishermans Market’ which offers different local snacks, drinks and souvenirs.
