Gitgit waterfall has been heavily influenced by tourism so you’ll find concrete pathways leading all the way to the waterfall. It’s a super easy trail which can be done with kids. You’ll also find plenty of souvenir shops along the way that sell all sorts of clothing, small items and even paintings. If you’re in need of any drinks or refreshments, there’s no shortage of that either.

The waterfall to our surprise was actually quite high and very powerful. We watched as people were struggling to swim up close to the waterfall because of all the power and strong gusts of wind. However, further back from the waterfall are plenty of rock pools where you can chill and cool down. If you’re not interested in swimming but still want to escape the sun, there is a stone hut with some benches for you to sit on.
