How to get to Haad Salad Beach Koh Phangan
To get to Koh Phangan, we used 12Go to book a quick ferry from Koh Tao. 12Go is a super cheap and reliable way to get around Thailand and other popular Southeast Asian countries.

We drove from Thong Sala Pier to Haad Salad Beach which took us roughly 30 minutes. You can easily access this beach by both car and scooter. You can rent a cool jeep on the island for 1000Baht per day. We managed to rent our scooter for 180Baht per day. To enter the beach we parked in a resort and walked through because we couldn’t find a public entrance.
Where to stay
There are plenty of budget and luxury accommodation options all around Koh Phangan. We decided to stay near Thong Sala pier as it was close to the popular night markets and food markets. A nice budget accommodation option in this area is Tranquil Bungalows by Beck’s. You’ll have your own little bungalow close to everything that you need. A luxury option close by is also the popular Kupu Kupu Phangan Beach Villas which has an infinity pool overlooking the beautiful blue ocean.

What to expect at Haad Salad Beach Koh Phangan
Haad Salad Beach Koh Phangan is a lovely beach which is located in the north of the island. It is has a large amount of beach front restaurants and mid range resorts. You will mainly find families on holiday or couples on vacation enjoying all that the beach has to offer. The water on the beach is clean, shallow and clear while the sand is also grainy and perfect to relax on throughout the day. To the right of the beach there is also a hanging palm tree which has a small swing. There are a few more swings located along the beach so you can take your pick at where you want to sit and relax!
Haad Salad Beach is also a great spot to watch sunset. If you’re lucky enough to be dining at one of the restaurants or even just relaxing on the sand, you’ll have an undisturbed view of the sun setting right in the centre of the beach. It’s the perfect way to end off a day at the beach!
