Ocean Park Hong Kong is a marine mammal park, aquarium, animal park and amusement park all in one. If you’re in Hong Kong and looking for a great day out exploring different exotic asian animals, giant aquariums, as well as going on some roller coasters, then Ocean Park Hong Kong should definitely be on your list.

How to get to Ocean Park Hong Kong

Ocean park Hong Kong is very easy to access as it has its own train station. Hop on the MRT and head to Ocean Park station. As soon as you get off the train, you’ll see the giant entrance for the park.

Where to stay in Hong Kong

There are limited cheap Hong Kong accommodation options, although the most popular place to stay for people on a budget is the Chunking Mansion and the Mirador Mansion. These buildings are famous for the amount of tiny hotel rooms located within them. We stayed at the Kowloon New Hostel in the Mirador Mansion and definitely recommend this building over the Chunking Mansion as it’s much less chaotic and on a quieter street. If you’re not on a budget then you’ll have endless 5 star hotels to choose from. A popular area close to many attractions and the train station is Tsim Sha Tsui.

What to expect at Ocean Park Hong Kong

Ocean park Hong Kong is the most unique amusement park we have ever visited. You’ll be amazed by the incredible size of the park. The park is so big that you have to get a cable car to the other half of the park which is located on the top of a mountain.

The park has endless amounts of attractions which means anyone would have an amazing time there. You can view panda bears, golden monkeys and red pandas, as well as giant exotic birds. You’ll be mesmerised by all the sea life such as manta rays, sharks, seals and even a walrus. If animals aren’t of interest, then you can enjoy a scenic cable car ride to the other half of the park where the roller coasters and rides are located.

You can purchase food and drinks from one of the many snack stands located throughout the park. The second half of the park, on top of the mountain is where you’ll find most of the food options and they also have a McDonalds located there.

If you plan on visiting Hong Kong, you should definitely add the park to your list of things to do. It’s an incredible experience that you’ll never forget!
