What to Expect
Phra Nang Cave Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Krabi region and for that reason, you’ll often find it very crowded and busy. However, that shouldn’t stop you from visiting this pristine slice of paradise. The beach is large enough to find your own area to relax. Most people hang out at the southern end of the beach near the cave. There is a weird and interesting shrine in the cave to check out for yourself! Along the cliffs you’ll also find rock climbers scaling the limestone formations right on the beach.
We actually found the other end of the beach to be way more quiet and better for swimming. There is a beautiful limestone formation just a stone’s throw away from the beach. This area is much more open, making it better for swimming and it’s also away from all the crowds and boats.
This beach has something for everyone! You can relax under the shade, grab something to eat, swim in the beautiful calm water or even go rock climbing. There are plenty of boats along the beach that serve quick and delicious Thai food which is perfect if you’re hungry. The boats also sell plenty of refreshments, ice-cream and snacks.
If you’ve made your own way to the beach, or you’re staying on Railay, you’ll have plenty of time to check out some other nearby attractions. The Secret Emerald Lagoon on Railay was one of our favourite places in all of Thailand. There is also a viewpoint for some scenic views over the peninsula. Also be sure to check out the other beaches on Railay if you’re looking for something more quiet and less crowded.
