Taa Toh Bay Koh Tao is a very small and secluded beach located towards the south of the island. It’s the perfect place to relax on an ocean front hammock or play a round of volleyball on the sand at the designated volleyball area. This beach is a great place to unwind and spend the whole day at!
How to get to Taa Toh Bay Koh Tao
Taa Toh Bay is located on the south of the island and is a 10 minute drive from the main tourist area of Sairee Beach. We rented scooters and drove ourselves there. We were able to rent a scooter for 150Baht per day. Most of the roads are paved and easy although there are some steep hills.
What to expect
Taa Toh Bay Koh Tao is a tiny, quiet little beach which is located right next to the popular Freedom Beach. Taa Toh Bay offers calm, clear blue water and clean course sand. When we visited it was slightly overcast but on a perfect sunny day it would look incredible. You can relax by the ocean on one of the popular black hammocks. Alternatively, you can sit along the edge of the bay close to the large granite boulders. There are also beach chairs and kayaks to keep you busy throughout the day.
You’ll also find a small restaurant located along the sand. Here you can enjoy a meal or a nice cold drink, although it can be a bit pricey. If you’re up for some beach activities, there is a volleyball court where you can spend your afternoon playing with some friends! Taa Toh Bay Koh Tao is located right next to Freedom Beach as well as the John Suwan Viewpoint. If you get tired of sitting by the small bay then you have plenty of other things to do and see!
On your way down to Taa Toh Bay, dont forget to stop at the Chalok Bay viewpoint! As you approach Taa Toh Bay and Freedom Beach you’ll notice a small carpark on the left side of the road. Opposite the carpark is a viewing area for you to observe the beauty of Chalok Bay below.
