There are a variety of locations you can stay throughout Oslob. Almost all the accommodation is located along the coastline so you’ll never be far from the ocean. A popular area to stay is close to the Oslob Whale Shark Watching, which also isn’t too far from Tumalog Falls. Although there aren’t many restaurants in this area. A nice budget option in this area is Vangie’s Homestay. Another more expensive option a little further up the road is Oslob Seafari Resort. What to expect at Tumalog Falls Cebu
We arrived at 7am and there were already a few tour vans that had arrived. Most people visit this waterfall directly after swimming with the Whale Sharks because they are close to each other. We found that as the day went on there were less and less people.
Tumalog falls is a massive waterfall with unique rock formations that create a mystical mist as the water cascades off the top and plummets into the bright blue water. Additionally, when the sunlight hits the falls you’ll see rainbows and the mist will look as if it’s glowing.
The water is incredibly refreshing in the heat and you can also swim directly under the falls. It’s a little powerful but nothing too extreme. We were able to swim directly under it and managed to get a decent back massage.
There are plenty of locals and tourists that come here to escape the heat. Tumalog Falls is incredibly beautiful and it’s also a great spot to relax and cool off. For something more adventurous, be sure to check out Aguinid Falls where you can climb your way up 5 different levels.
